Getting started
Who can use Rehostly?
Hosts in Canada with a Canadian bank account, from one cottage to a handful of places. We review every new host, usually within one business day, before they take payments.
How long does it take to set up?
Most of it is adding your photos and prices. Payouts take a few minutes with your bank details, and our review is usually done within a business day.
Do I need a website already?
No. Rehostly gives you one at rehostly.ca/your-place. If you own a domain, you can connect it.
Can I have more than one listing?
Yes, as many as you like, each with its own site.
Money
What does it cost?
Nothing to set up or use. When a guest pays, Rehostly keeps 4% of your price. We pay the card processing fees.
When do I get paid?
Your share goes to your Stripe account as each payment clears, and Stripe pays it into your Canadian bank account.
How do deposits and balances work?
Choose a deposit for each listing. The balance is charged to the guest's saved card automatically before arrival, 7 days by default, and you choose how many.
What if a guest's card fails?
We try again, then email the guest a link to pay. You can send the link yourself from the booking too.
Guests and bookings
Can guests book instantly?
Your choice. Turn on instant booking, or approve each request within 18 hours.
Can guests cancel?
Pick a Flexible, Moderate or Strict policy for each listing. Guests cancel from their booking link within it; after that, you decide on any refund.
Can I keep my Airbnb and VRBO listings?
Yes. Connect their calendars and Rehostly keeps your dates in step, so you're never double-booked.
Your site
Can I change how my site looks?
Yes. Start from a design, then change sections, colours, fonts and photos in the editor. Changes go live when you publish.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Add it on your listing's Domain tab and we guide you through the DNS steps.
Trust and data
Where is my data stored?
Bookings and guest details are stored in Canada, in Montréal.
Why do you review hosts?
To keep guests and hosts safe from fraud. It's quick, and it keeps people who aren't real hosts off Rehostly.
